Airport

The closest airport to Icmeler is Dalaman International Airport (DLM). You can from there go to Icmeler by Shuttle bus, by renting a car or taxi. The prices vary a lot, but if you for example what a private driver, the cost is around 120 TRY single way.

The currency is LIRA, Turkish Lira (TRY).

Electricity

Turkey, like most European countries, uses the type C electrical plug (Europlug), with 220V. Australian’s should buy an adapter before traveling to Turkey, to be able to charge/use their electronic devices.

Visa

Since 2014, Visas aren’t issued upon arrival. That means that Australians traveling to Turkey as a tourist or for business needs to apply for a visa online at www.evisa.gov.tr. Another thing that is good to know is that your passport must be valid at least 60 days beyond the expiry date of your visa.
